As part of the scientific and educational activities regularly organized by the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah, and within the activities of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, a number of first-year students presented scientific seminars in the subject of Physiology under the supervision of the course instructors: Dr. Eman Alaa Al-Din, Assistant Lecturer Duaa Ghazi, Assistant Lecturer Dina Nawfal, Assistant Lecturer Rafah Amir, Assistant Lecturer Fatima Ahmed, and Ms. Budoor Hatif, with active participation from first-year students.
The seminars provided detailed scientific explanations of the most important vital signs of the human body, including body temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiratory rate, while highlighting their importance in assessing and monitoring health conditions. The presentations also addressed the physiological relationship between body homeostasis and vital signs, as well as their essential role in maintaining the normal functions of the body’s various systems.
The seminars witnessed remarkable scientific interaction from the students, reflecting their strong interest in the academic material and their commitment to developing their academic skills in presentation, public speaking, and scientific discussion.
