A group of students from the College of Medicine at the University of Nineveh participated in the second annual conference for student research, which was held last Friday evening via online platform under the auspices of the Deans Committee of Medical Colleges in Iraq.
The conference included contributions from most medical colleges in Iraqi universities, with the presence of international and local judges. The diligent follow-up of the faculty member in the Department of Community Medicine, Dr. Dhelal Ahmed Al-Jumaili, along with a distinguished group of college professors, was noted.
During the conference, sixth-year student Aya Iyad obtained second place in the competition for her research titled “Prevalence of premenstrual syndrome among medical students in Mosul universities” under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Dhiyaa Abbas Al-Jawadi and Dr. Amna Amer.
Fifth-year student Nu’ass Walid also achieved third place for his research titled “Patients’ perceptions and attitudes toward the participation of medical students in their care” under the supervision of Dr. Dhelal Al-Jumaili and Associate Professor Dr. Rasha Nadim.
Furthermore, fourth-year student Harith Ali Mustafa obtained sixth place for his research titled “Factors Affecting Infant Feeding in Al-Shirqat, Salah Alden, Iraq, in 2023” under the supervision of Dr. Dhelal Al-Jumaili and Dr. Amna Amer.
In recognition of their outstanding achievements, Mr. Osama Al-Mushhadani, the University President, and the Dean of the College congratulated the winning students and supervising professors for their significant efforts in the success of this distinguished scientific carnival, which resulted in our students achieving advanced positions.
