As part of its efforts to promote academic openness and expand opportunities for international cooperation, the University of Ninevah,represented by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, organized an introductory workshop for the officials of Cultural Relations Units across the university’s colleges. The workshop highlighted major scholarship programs, academic fellowships, international grants, and opportunities offered by the European Union in the fields of education and scientific research.
The workshop featured presentations delivered by:
- Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Rabah Mohammed Al-Sufi
- Dr. Sarmad Fakhr Al-Din
- Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Ma’an Mamdouh
- Assistant Lecturer Teeba Nidham Shukr
The workshop covered several key topics, including the Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq (HCED) Program, fellowship and scholarship programs, the Turkish Scholarship Program (YTB), as well as the Erasmus+ and Horizon programs. Particular attention was given to application procedures, admission requirements, and the benefits these programs offer to researchers, students, and academic staff.
The workshop also discussed ways to maximize the utilization of these academic opportunities and highlighted the role of Cultural Relations Units within the colleges in raising awareness about scholarship and international grant programs and providing the necessary support to prospective applicants.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Nineveh reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the organization of workshops and awareness programs that contribute to enhancing the expertise of Cultural Relations Unit officials and strengthening the university’s participation in international academic cooperation programs. These efforts are aligned with the university’s vision of advancing the educational and research environment and fostering engagement with leading academic institutions worldwide.
