In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the follow-up and guidance of Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, the University participated in an information workshop on the UK Chevening Scholarship, organized by the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations in coordination with the British Embassy in Baghdad on Thursday, 10 September 2026, at Al-Shaab University.
The University was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Rabeh Al-Soufi, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
The session provided an overview of the scholarship, including its application and admission procedures and requirements, as well as the academic opportunities it offers to Iraqi students and researchers. It also highlighted the importance of strengthening international academic partnerships and promoting the internationalization of higher education.
The University’s participation is in line with the vision of the University of Ninevah Presidency to expand international academic cooperation and provide scholarship and academic exchange opportunities for its staff and students.
