University of Ninevah President Congratulates Faculty Member from the College of Nursing on Earning a PhD Degree

The President of the University of Ninevah, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, extends his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Mohammed Nizar Abdul Sattar Omar Al-Dulaimi, Assistant Lecturer at the College of Nursing, on the successful completion of his PhD degree following the defense of his dissertation entitled:

“The Relationship of Selected Biokinematic Variables and the Electromyographic Activity of the Pulling and Pushing Arm Muscles with Accuracy in Compound Bow Archery.”

The dissertation was defended on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The research examined the relationship between selected biokinematic variables, electromyographic (EMG) activity of the muscles, and shooting accuracy among female members of the Iraqi national compound archery team while performing shots from a distance of 50 meters.

The study aimed to identify the values of the selected biokinematic variables, electromyographic (EMG) variables, and shooting accuracy, as well as to investigate the relationships among them. The findings are expected to contribute to the advancement of both the scientific and practical aspects of sports sciences and to support research development in this specialized field.

The dissertation defense committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Laith Ismail Sabri and included Professor Dr. Falah Taha Hammo, Professor Dr. Maad Manea Alawi, Assistant Professor Dr. Yahya Mohammed Mohammed Ali, and Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Yousif Khalil. The dissertation was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Nashat Bashir Ibrahim.

The University President affirmed that this academic achievement reflects the dedication of the University of Ninevah’s faculty members to advancing their academic and research careers.
