The celebration was attended by a large number of academic and medical figures, including academic leaders and prominent personalities, deans of colleges of medicine and other colleges, hospital directors, physicians, former deans, as well as faculty members, staff, graduates, and students of the College.
The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatihah in tribute to the souls of the righteous martyrs. This was followed by official speeches highlighting the College’s academic and scientific journey, its major milestones, and its future prospects.
The ceremony featured speeches by Assistant Professor Dr. Moamin Junaid Al-Dabouni, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah; Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah; Professor Dr. Yousra Abdulrahman Mahmoud, President of the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq; and Professor Dr. Amin Abdul-Hassan Manea Al-Alwani, Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in Iraq and Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad. The event also featured a speech by Professor Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, former President of the University of Ninevah.
The celebration also included documentary films showcasing important milestones in the history and development of the College, in addition to honoring and recognizing the individuals who contributed to building the College of Medicine’s legacy and serving generations of its students.
Twenty-five years of scientific and academic excellence have enabled the College of Medicine at the University of Ninevah to establish a legacy of achievement. Today, it is preparing to continue its mission toward a brighter future.
